The ADINA-FSI program
is the leading code for fully coupled analysis of fluid flows with
structural interactions (multiphysics).
The ADINA-FSI program combines the full capabilities of ADINA and ADINA-F into
one program module. Entirely different meshes can be used for the structural
and the fluid flow idealizations. Free surfaces can be included. An Arbitrary
Lagrangian-Eulerian (ALE) formulation is used.
ADINA-FSI has been used successfully in many areas of application, including
the automotive, industrial, and medical fields. Some outstanding cases where
ADINA-FSI is used:
- Analysis of anti-locking brake systems (ABS)
- Analysis of fuel pumps
- Analysis of shock absorbers
- Analysis of an artificial lung
