ADINA R & D, Inc. was founded in 1986 by Dr. K.J. Bathe. Our mission is:
To provide ONE finite
element program system - the ADINA System - that can be used to perform
comprehensive finite element analyses of structures, fluids, fluid-structure
interactions, and multiphysics.
We fulfill our mission through the in-house development of all the ADINA programs. Our customer base includes major companies in the mechanical, civil, automotive, nuclear, forming and biomechanical industries, as well as many universities and research institutes world-wide.
Through our partnership with Siemens, ADINA's powerful solver has been integrated into NX Nastran Advanced Nonlinear - Solution 601/701 for implicit and explicit solutions.
The founder of ADINA R & D, Inc., Dr. K.J. Bathe, Professor of Mechanical Engineering, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, is a leading world-renowned researcher in the field of finite element analysis. He is the author of several textbooks and numerous journal papers. Dr. Bathe leads the development of the ADINA System.
Since 1975, Dr. Bathe has taught and conducted research in finite element methods at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where his research group has made major contributions, recognized and used worldwide, to the field of finite element analysis.
The preferred FEM solution
The ADINA System is chosen by many organizations throughout the world for many reasons:
- One system for structures, CFD, FSI and multiphysics
Structural, fluids, fluid-structure interaction and multiphysics analysis capabilities are integrated in a single program system, making modeling convenient and efficient. - Interfaces to CAD programs and many third party pre- and post-processors
ADINA interfaces to I-DEAS NX, Nastran, EnSight, and many CAD programs using the Parasolid kernel and IGES interface. - Diverse worldwide customer base
The broad international customer base provides the impetus for continuous advancement of the program capabilities to address a wide range of engineering problems. - Sound theoretical basis
ADINA is based on the theoretical work of Dr. Bathe, built upon a consistent and rigorous foundation. - Extensively cited in books and publications
Many publications cite the results obtained from ADINA analyses, making these a rich resource for users looking to apply ADINA in both traditional and innovative applications. - State-of-the-art performance and reliability
Thorough and intensive testing based on our extensive experience contributes to the excellent performance and unrivaled reliability of the programs. - Excellent support
Our development staff all hold advanced degrees in engineering disciplines, and their shared skills and insight are the same strengths that drive our customer support. - Reasonable pricing
Competitive pricing and flexible licensing options give you the ability to solve a wide range of engineering problems at a reasonable cost. - Wide distribution network
Interested parties worldwide can license the ADINA programs directly from us. The programs can also be licensed through our international network of distributors. - Attractive academic pricing
Our academic licensing option provides users with unlimited access to ADINA throughout the University with no restrictions on the number of computers, problem size and capabilities, all at a very low cost.
