Can ADINA be used with Windows Vista?
Answer:
In general, ADINA can be used with Windows Vista. However, there are
some known issues:
- AUI graphics in OpenGL mode may not work properly with Vista Aero
- The Pick cursor does not display properly
- AUI graphics in OpenGL mode may not work properly with Vista Aero
To turn off Vista Aero: from the Control Panel, click the Personalization icon:

Then click 'Window Color and Appearance' in the next window:

Click 'Open classic appearance properties for more color options':

Select a non-Aero Color scheme (e.g., Windows Vista Basic) and click OK.

- The Pick cursor does not display properly
You will need to change the Precision Select cursor.
From the Control Panel, click the Personalization icon:

Now click 'Mouse Pointers':

Scroll down in the 'Customize:' box and double-click Precision Select:

Select the cross_rm (+) cursor, click Open to choose, and then OK to close the
Mouse Properties window.
