Question QG-010:
When starting ADINA on a 64-bit computer, there is an
AUI error message:
Error: Unable to start the program c:\ADINA85\x64\aui.exe
Please check ADINAHOME environment
What is the cause of this error?
Answer:
If your machine does not have Visual Studio 2005 installed, you will need to
first run the Microsoft C++ 2005 Redistributable package before you can run
the 64-bit version of ADINA.
The package is vcredist_x64.exe in the directory
C:\ADINA85\Microsoft\ if you installed ADINA in the default directory
C:\ADINA85
In addition, the 64-bit Windows version license cannot be based on the USB
key or parallel port dongle.
