ADINA-M is not
available for 64-bit version of ADINA-AUI on Linux with
Itanium.
The minimum system
resources required are as follows:
Unix/Linux:
- 64 MB memory; 128 MB or more recommended
- About 250 MB disk space
- CD-ROM drive
- Graphics display
PC
Windows:
- 64 MB memory; 128 MB or more recommended
- 215 MB for typical installation
- CD-ROM drive
- Graphics display with 4MB video card
Fortran compiler (optional) is only required for
customization of user-supplied routines. Please see FAQ QG-007 for the version
of Fortran compiler required.
System ID for Node-Locked
License
This system ID is only
applicable if you are using the ADINA node-locked
license. If you are using the ADINA floating license, please see the next section.
If you have the ADINA
System CD, please skip this section. The file adhostid (Unix/Linux) or
Install (Windows) will be loaded onto your hard disk when you install
the ADINA System.
The system ID of your
computer is required for obtaining the node-locked passwords to use the
ADINA System. You may use the following commands (recommended
when available) to obtain the system ID of your computer or use the
adhostid (or Install) program that you can download here.
Note that you will need
to use gunzip (Unix) or Winzip (Windows) to uncompress the downloaded
files.

System
ID for Floating License Server
To obtain the system ID
for the floating license server, you need to install the ADINA System
on the license server machine first.
For Windows
NT/2000/XP:
Run the echoid.exe command using
Start >
Programs > ADINA System 8.4 > Floating License >
Run EchoID
Send the Lock
Code 1 to ADINA R & D to obtain the floating license
password.
The floating password
file must be named lservrc and placed in the %ADINAHOME%\Sentinel
directory.
After the password file lservrc
is placed in the %ADINAHOME%\Sentinel
directory, you can start the license manager using
Start >
Programs > ADINA System 8.4 > Floating License >
License Server
For Unix/Linux:
Run the echoid.exe command in the <ADINA home
directory>/slm directory.
cd
<ADINA home directory>/slm
./echoid
Send the Lock
Code 1 to ADINA R & D to obtain the floating license
password.
The floating password
file must be named lservrc and placed in the <ADINA
home directory>/slm directory.
After the password file lservrc
is placed in the %ADINAHOME%\Sentinel
directory, you can start the license manager using the lserv
command.
